Every now and then when I’m getting ready to study my Bible, I’ll just open the Bible and start reading where it opens.  I’m a firm believer that when this happens it’s because the Lord has a lesson that I need to learn or an answer to a prayer that I’ve prayed.

Today was one of those days.  I picked up my Bible and it came to me to open it and start reading.  These are the verses that were at the top of the page where my Bible opened.  I can’t really remember the last time that I studied in Lamentations.  I was surely surprised when I read these verses and realized that it was an answer to something that I’ve been struggling with.  The Lord truly works in mysterious ways.  I’d like to share these with you.  It may be the answer for you as well.

This I recall to my mind,
Therefore I have hope.
The Lord’s lovingkindnesses
indeed never cease,
For His compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
Great is Thy faithfulness.
“The Lord is my portion,”
says my soul,
“Therefore I have hope in Him.”
The Lord is good to those who wait for Him,
To the person who seeks Him.
